Doing business in 2024

If you haven’t already heard, your brand is incredibly important when doing business.

Your brand is how your audience perceives you.

If you’re a kind of brand that people trust and love, and you happen to make a decent profit from every transaction, you’ve got yourself key ingredients for a sustainable business.

The first part is what most people forget about.

Focus on your audience.

If you want to build your brand in 2024, here’s what you need to know.

5 things:

  1. Engage in the comments and DMs with your audience
    1. Brands are as strong as the relationships the customers have with the business. Your community will only love you more for being a part of their everyday lives in the comments section of your posts or in your DMs.
  2. Learn as you go, not all at once before you start
    1. When it comes to brand building on social media, action is everything. In most cases, reading all you can about making reels and tiktoks won’t get you very far. You’ll actually have to go into the apps and create the content and learn how it all works by doing.
  3. Expect it to take a while. No worthwhile brand is grown overnight
    1. You can think of it as friendships with classmates. We’re all strangers in the first few months of school. It takes time to warm up to each other, but eventually some of us become lifelong friends over the years. That’s how strong brands are born.
  4. Adopt a community-first attitude, rather than a wallet-first attitude
    1. A brand is good as dead without a community. Community, first, always. If your primary goal is to make money, people will sniff you out. Not to say you won’t be able to grow a brand, but let’s say it’ll be a lot faster when you put your audience’s wants and needs at the forefront.
  5. Post content regularly
    1. Posting content is your best chance at growing your business and brand beyond just friends and family. Content will be your key to building an audience that resonates with what you do. Don’t skip this.

That said, for those of you who want to build your brand on social media this year, the Habit Factory’s brand-building community is back.

The best way to grow your brand is to post more content around what you do

The hard part is actually making the content and sticking it through when growing gets tough.

The good news is that the Content Club at Habit Factory is back, a 21-day brand-building workshop for people who want to grow on social media.

What’s more, is that it’s Pay-What-You-Want, meaning the opportunity to grow and connect with others is right in your hands.

Trying marketing > Reading about marketing

It’s true that reading about swimming won’t actually teach you how to swim.

It’s also true that no matter how many marketing gurus you follow, you won’t learn how to be a good marketer for your brand if you don’t put your knowledge in action.

That’s why our team at Habit Factory created the Content Club.

A 21-day workshop dedicated to help you work your content and brand-building muscles on social media.

It’s one thing to read about how to grow your business and brand online.

It’s a whole different game to actually try your hand at it.

Everyone knows you have to create content to build your business in 2024.

The truth is, most people don’t.

But if you’re ready, we’ve got a whole community to support you as you build your brand this January.

The best part?

This workshop works better when more people join.

P.S. this workshop is PWYW (Pay What You Want), so there’s no reason not to join!

Register for your spot today, we start in January.

Not having it work is part of the process

I tried piping a butter mixture today, but it wasn’t working as I thought it would.

In my head, I thought it would turn out great.

The result would be smooth, uniform, and I wouldn’t make a big mess at the end of it.

It was the total opposite.

I was wrong.

And that’s okay.

Not having it work is part of the process of making it better.

If you’ve ever wanted to start something, there’s a feeling we all get.

We call it the itch.

It’s when your idea is all you can think about.

There’s a spark of excitement every time you talk about it.

And the best way to use up all your newfound energy is to start what you have in mind.

It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose.

Winning or losing isn’t the point.

The point is to do something that matters to you.

Scratch the itch.

How to achieve big goals, one step at a time

Creatives tend to dream big.

Sometimes those dreams are so big that it feels almost impossible to reach.

What most people don’t know is that you can actually achieve those seemingly impossible dreams.

The catch is that you have to put in the work.

The good news is that you don’t have to do it all at once. Rather, it’s little bits of your goal broken down into do-able pieces, in steps you can take every day.

So yeah.

You can dream as big as you like.

Just as long as you work for it every day.
